Mayank Gupta

Welcome to my webpage! I’m Mayank Gupta, an Associate in the Quant team at Apollo Global Management. I have graduated with a B.Tech with honors in Electrical Engineering and a dual minor in Computer Science and AI and Machine Learning from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2025.

I have been working on different financial modeling techniques for Apollo’s Private Credit division, using actuarial skills. My research interests and past projects span Generative Modeling, Interpretable ML, Optimization, Speech, Reinforcement Learning and Computer Vision.

In the past, I have worked under Prof. Preeti Rao for my Bachelor’s thesis, focussing on developing a Singing Voice Synthesis Model for generating Hindi singing audio. I have worked under Prof. Israel Leyva Mayorga at Aalborg University, Denmark during the summer of 2024 to develop Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC) methods between IoT agents using Reinforcement Learning. I have worked under Prof. Tobias Voss at TU Braunschweig, Germany during the Summer of 2023 to develop algorithms for segmentation of images from Scanning Electron Microscopes to automatically analyse such images. Interacting with Prof. Carsten Schilde at TU Braunschweig during this internship, I worked under him remotely for the next 1.5 years to develop interpretable correlation searching algorithms to find correlations between different particle parameters, essential for particle process modelling in batteries.

Beyond academia and work, I’m an amateur Photographer, an avid fan of Chess and F1.
